Tracy Spiridakos is a Canadian actress. She starred as Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's comedy series Majority Rules! from 2009-2010. She then starred as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson in the NBC post-apocalyptic sci-fi series Revolution from 2012-2014, on which she was nominated for an Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television. She portrayed Annika Johnson on the A&E drama on television Bates Motel. Spiridakos has been a part of the NBC drama Chicago P.D. since 2017. playing the role of Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owners George Spiridakos who were both born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two siblings. When she was born, her family moved to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. She strongly feels that she is a part of her Greek heritage, and she can speak fluent Greek. Spiridakos started acting at the age of junior high school. She later trained at the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated from Oak Park High School in Winnipeg. Spiridakos moved to Winnipeg to pursue acting in 2007. She got her first role on Supernatural within a few weeks. She appeared on television for the next few years getting parts in Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos played in the TV movie Goblin and in the web-based television series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos appeared on Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast as her first lead role as Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl in Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! In 2011 she made her debut in feature films in the film Rise of the Planet of the Apes. She was also the director of Kill for Me, a low-budget thriller directed by Michael Greenspan. The film starred Donal Logue, Katie Cassidy and directed by Michael Greenspan. Spiridakos played the role of Sammi in Rags (2012) in the Nickelodeon original film. Spiridakos then was offered the part of the lead in Revolution in the role of Charlotte Matheson (survivor of an unimaginative future society) in NBC television. She auditioned while she was watching her pilot in Los Angeles. Spiridakos made her pilot in Atlanta. The pilot season was shot in Wilmington, North Carolina. Her performance on the first season of the series was nominated her for an Saturn Award as Best Actress on TV. However, she lost to Anna Torv from Fringe's. In the second season production moved to Austin Texas.
